EICMA 2018: DUCATI HYPERMOTARD 950

2005. The beginning
Awarded as "Best of Show" at EICMA in 2005. After only one year the Hypermotard was made. With its unique design shaped by Pierre Terblanche, redefined the naked bikes class.  A new way to play.
Light, powerful and sexy: it was simply a lethal weapon for the other street bikes.
With a surgical precision was able to wolf down every road. A Supermoto? No, better, a Hypermoto.
1078cc with a desmo bomb V-Twin able to reach 90 Hp at 7750rpm and produce tons of torque, 103 Nm at 4750rpm!! 179 Kg.

2010. EVO
95 Hp at 7750rpm, 103 Nm at 5750rpm and a drastic diet that stop the weight at 172 Kg.

2012. The revolution
A sad goodbye to the most powerful Desmodue engine ever made in Borgo Panigale, and welcome Desmoquattro 821.
821cc V-Twin desmo, 4 valves for cylinder, liquid cooled and an upgrade at the performance.
110 Hp at 9250rpm, 89 Nm at 7750 rpm. 178 Kg.
But sadly to say, this new model misses the target of the Desmodue bike: the brutal torque and lightning fast speed up.
But become more friendly with all riders: ABS, TC and a new design. Modern but not so iconic like the first series.

2016. The eco-friendly
The engine grew up to respect the new Euro 4 rules.
937cc V-Twin, 113 Hp at 9250rpm, 89 Nm at 7750rpm. 181 Kg.

2019. Back to the roots

New design, another upgrade at the engine et voilà!
The new HYPERMOTARD 950.
Sexy as hell, the new toy made in Borgo Panigale back to the original shapes and lines with double short exhaust under the seat.

The engine is the well-known 937cc used for the last HYM. But obtained 1 Hp more, 114 Hp at 9000rpm, 96 Nm at 7250rpm. 178 Kg.
New ECU, new ABS cornering. New led lights and a jump in a new sport dimension.
Or simply a new way way to lose your ride license?
