STURMTRUPPEN: BMW ICON
Eins, zwei, Polizei.
Drei, vier, Grenadier
Funf, sechs, alte Gags
Sieben, acht, gute nacht…
In this post i will show a little parte of my friend's Vintage BMW motorcycles collection.
He loves Bayerische Motoren Werke, loves the boxer engine, the balance and their charmes.
He is a barbar, and everytime I have to go in his shop I have the opportunity to see one.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the Gelände/Straße:

- Start with the most popular and iconic BMW of everytime:
Ladies and Gentlemen, the Gelände/Straße:
BMW R80G/S PARIS DAKAR
32 lt. Gas gauge.
Seat for rider only.
Boxer engine 2 valve.
52hp and 58nm for 205kg. Queen of the desert.
- The second one is always and icon, but in sport key.
This is a real and not restored:
BMW R90S
First BMW with aerodynamic motorcycle fairing.
Designed by Hans Muth, who also made the Suzuki Katana. Here in amazing Daytona Orange.
Steering damper, a more aggressive engine with 67hp instead of the mor relaxed R90/6 , new Dell'Orto carb.
Moral of the story?
67hp for 215kg bring this BMW at over 200km/h and burn the 0-100 in 4,6 sec.
Not bad uh?!
Troy Corser at Goodwood in 2012 with the Steve Mc Laughlin's bike who won in 1976 the first race of the new born AMA Superbike Championship.
- In Third position this scrambler modification of a R100RS
BMW R100RS SCRAMBLER
from this
to this
Gas gauge, engine and exhausts are the same of the original versione. The rest? All modified.
A very good scrambler elaboration.
- Last but not least, another icon for BMW:
BMW R75/5...?!
Still in restoration inside his Brber Shop
And that's all folks!
