DESMODUE SANCTA SANCTORUM: DUCATI KAEMNA

Good Evening, or Morning, my Fellas.
It's passed a long time since my last article.
Yeah, I know.
"This is a Blog, fool editor!"
"You have to write every week about something interesting!"
"You have to keep the visibility high!"
Right.
Right.
Right.
But I spent these days to think about my future.
How many miles I rode.
How many friends I met.
What a great trip I started. And it's passed only 2 years from the beginning.
2 years of TurningFireIntoSpeed.
And in these 730 days what have I learned?
That the best roads are the roads untraveled.

And luckily now I'm in a crossroad, and maybe for the first time, I could show what I learned during these months.

By the way, it's time to talk about my beloved Ducati.
About a Sancta Sanctorum, and about a Merchant of Speed called Rudiger.

Sancta Sanctorum it's an expression used to represent the holiest part of a temple.
Could it be a small place, where to hide our treasure.
Could it be the Ducati Museum, where unique pieces lie there locked in.
Or a garage where our bikes sleep.
Or a little corner of our heart where our dreams live free and limitless.
Sancta Sanctorum.
I like this ol term.
And I think it's the first time I used it, but all my work it's dedicated to describe, represent, dream, think, and show our MotorSport Sancta Sanctorum.

And now it's your turn Rudiger.
Who is Rudiger?
And what is Ducati Kaemna?
It's simply a Sancta Sanctorum for all the desmo faithful in Germany.
And Rudiger it's only the caretaker of this holy place.
A holy workshop.
An old school workshop, where the time seems to have stopped at the years before the electronic stuff advent.
The opulence and the decadence of the Endurance race, the Battle of the Twin. The glory for privateers.
A place where every single bolt reeks of story.

A workshop where you can find a real piece of art to apply to your beloved Desmo.

And today Rudiger is carrying on this old dream, made of air-cooled Desmo, challenge, handcrafted special parts.
No matter if two or four valves.
Rudiger and his team will create what you need.

 Titanium Valves

Carrillo Conrods

Ducati Kaemna Cammes

NCR Cammes

Yes, they shape racing cammes or titanium valves from the pure matter.
They create astonishing magnesium cover for clutch or alternator.

But it's inside the workshop that you could reach an obscure character inside the holy part of his workshop.

A Demon.
Some clues about the chassis:
999 framework, adjustable steering head, Marvic Penta magnesium wheels, FG 43 Öhlins front fork fully adjustable, Öhlins rear damper fully adjustable, changed shock strut linking similar 749R, Brembo brake system, 999R swingarm.

V2 Demon, that was born with a right and pure aim: to hit the track.
Never mind the evolution in electronic devices.
This Holy beast wanna beat the time. Face the track with you, and no matter if you don't win.
Cause just as long it's to race together.
To find your own limits with it.
Reach up and touch them, until you will pass them on.

And a real opportunity for everybody that got good hands in gear.
The Deamon is designed in two models:
the complete bike in three different power steps or in 1:1 model scale and your skills & attitude will be tested.
105hp115hp or the hellish 125hp.
Under heading "POWER" matches the weight.

The 105hp got a pumped DesmoDue 1100 Evo, head porting at 47-41mm and magnesium wheels, full Öhlins 999 R swingarm, glass fiber fairing & seat, Chrome/molybdenum frame with a fully CNC-machined rear end, special exhaust system, and weight of 145kg.
Simply the best of the spare parts you can find.

The 115hp diverges for more advanced developments of the Desmo, like:
race cams, slipper clutch, Titanium clutch platesTitanium rodslightened balanced crank, big oil, new radiator, lightened gearbox, light flywheel & special adjustment.

Weight: 135kg.

And..

And, last but not least, the Hellish Beast:
125hp for only 125kg, the highest expression of Racing air-cooled Desmo.

The lightest version of Demon EVO series is equipped with Ultralight 25CrMo4 frame, only 6,8kg; BST Carbon wheels; Carbon handlebars, Carbon & Magnesium quite profusely all over the bike and  most parts are also handmade lightened; ergal swing axle; full Öhlins front & rear; 300mm brake discs & Brembo radial calipers; Carbon seat & fairing.

And in the middle of the trellis frame, the DesmoDue brought till 1200cc equipped with titanium valves 47-41mm, Kämna race cams, oil - jet for piston head cooling, titanium rods, lightened & balanced crank, big oil radiator lightened gearbox light flywheel & magnesium engine cover.

But if you prefer to build and top bought it, you can do it!
Like in a Wallmart of power parts and performance you can choose the single spare parts to build your own bike.

Have you got the engine, the wheels, and the radiator? Take the frame the handlebars and the fairing!

Or whatever you want.

And if you want to improve the performance of your Bevel Desmo, Rudiger, like a modern Genie of the lamp, is ready to serve you in any way you wish.

What are you waiting for?

And..
What about to visit Misano World Circuit?
Do you like the idea?
Yes, sure?
Because Fellas..
I will be the modern Virgilio inside the fast sweeprs of SantaMonica.
A guide, a friend to talk about the story behind the track, some news, records and check on the most important sport of the paddock!
What else!?
More news very very soooooon FellasH!
